Map coordinates

So the Instructions pdf instructed us not to estimate coordinate numbers. But how about when there is a small map to interpret? Impossible to get very precise figures there. Would writing the coordinates as [54° 50' S, 67° 20' W] suffice?

    Thanks for your question. There is no need to interpret coordinates from maps; only transcribe GPS coordinates if they are listed explicitly on the label (either in decimal or DMS format).

    After the "main" transcription process (that you are helping with right now) is complete, we will then move into a phase in which we georeference collections such as this one. So, the data will be captured eventually but in a future step.
